Kuber Yantra

In our classics if our sages emphasized upon Lakshmi sadhna, they haven’t ignored the Kubera. The logic behind would be that the devotee has to increase the very effect of Lakshmi and then he has to please lord Kubera for maintaining her blessings over the devotee. The reason behind this concept is as water, fire, air, etc., are governed by different gods, likewise wealth is governed by Kubera.

Kubera is lord of nav nidhis, padam, mahapadam, sankh, kachap, ukund, kund, maker, nil, and varchasav. Yaksha, kinner (the musicians), and other prosperity giving deities are governed by Kubera. All this is blessed by Lord Brahma on the wishes of Lord Shiva. If Kubera is worshipped, Lord Shiva and Lord Shukra (Venus) automatically bestows their blessings. The Kubera sadhan is done on the day of Dhan Tirodhashi (two days before deepawali). It could also be worshipped on tirodhasi of every month during shukla paksha. The yantra is to be carved on gold or copper plate. The devote could draw it on Bhojpatra with asthgandh.

Following is the Mantra of Kubera that bestows all types of prosperity. The Mantra of Kubera is as follows:

Yaksaya Kuberaya Vaisravanaya Dhanyadhipatye Dhana Dhanya Samrddhim Me Dehi Dapaya Svah||

The sage of this Mantra is Visrava, the meter is Brhati and the deity is the lord of wealth, the friend of Shiva.

The sadanga Nyasa is to be performed with the syllable of the Mantra split at 3, 4, 5, and 7 syllables. The devotee then mediates on Dhanada (Kubera) the resident of Alkapuri.

Dhyana Verse
Manujvahavviman var sitham garudratan nibham nidhinayakam| Shiv sakham mukutaadivibhusitham vargade dadadhatam bhaj tundilam||

The devotee shall repeat the Mantra a hundred thousand times and perform ten thousand Homas with gingelly seeds. He shall worship in the pedestal with Dharma etc. The Angas, the guardians of the quarters and their weapons should be worshipped.

For the increase of wealth the devotee should repeat the Mantra ten thousand times in a Shiva temple. The Mantra is to be repeated a hundred thousand times while seated at the foot of Bilva tree This will bestow increase in wealth. Another Mantra of Kubera is destructive of all types of poverty. It is as follows:

Om Srim Om Hrim Srim Hrim Klim Srim Kl
