e) Indira Gandhi was PM of India first term from 19.1.1966 to 24.3.1977 and second term from 14.1.80 to 31.10.84. On 19.1.66 dasha scheme operative was and on 14.1.80 dasha scheme was. In both the cases D/AD/PD was of the planets mentioned above.

2 Transit and Political success:

a) On 19.1.66 – transited Taurus on natal (6L/9L) in 11Hand its OH in Aquarius aspected natal 10H and 10L. Prior to this when retrograde it aspected Lagna and LL also. This double aspect of and on Lagna/LL and 10H/10L resulted in its auspicious fructification.

c) 422/27 gives R=17 and nakshatra trine being Anuradha, U. Bhadra and Pushya ruled by.

d) 422/12 gives R=2 being Taurus. 5 was transiting Taurus on 19.1.66.

1 Promise for Political successes – Parameters and their status:

a) as 4L – lord of 4H indicate ting crown and 11L-indicating gain of position and honours is in 6H – house of politics and masses. 6H is 9^th from 10H and is house of professional fortune and successes. It is on axis indicating some sort of suddenness and also secret planning. It is aspected by retrograde (6L/9L) from previous house making her very popular and fortunate in political field.

b) – as 10L/5L represent professional successes and state is Yogakaraka posited in 2H and has aspect of retrograde (6L/9L) from previous house. It has a powerful exchange with karaka of state in 5H – a Lakshmi Sthana and represent state also. Also aspected by. All these show popularity and success in political field and gain of political crown.

c) representing masses is in lagna aspected by LL – from 7H, giving her great popularity.

d) – the DL is also aspected by – 6L/9L making her extremely fortunate and successful.

e) Thus all the parameter concerning political, successes and gain of state crown are strongly posited and are auspiciously inter-related in the horoscope.

c) the karaka for progeny is 9L/6L in 11H with 32 SAV and itself having 6 bindus in Taurus. In case of woman 9L is also karaka for children and powerfully aspecting 5H shows promise of more than one male progenies.

d) 5L from is and is in 5H, a friend’s sign for in the horoscope having aspect of and – two male planets in its OH and FH respectively. This show male progeny.

e) Kshetra Sputa (KS) is in Cancer at 6^o57’ in Lagna and in Navamsha in Virgo in 7H. Both sign and Navamsha are even sign and for woman it indicate a very good promise for progeny. Similarly Putra Saham can also be seen.

D/7 Chart:

e) In D7 also there is promise of male progeny. Lagna being even for woman, 9L counted indirect for even Lagna is OH giving male progeny. Second child is given by 11L (indirect count) in odd signs would also give male progeny.

f) The probable D/AD being from 7-06-44 to 24-10-44 and from 14-08-46 to 17-12-46. posited in Taurus with 32 SAV bindus and with 6 bindus in its BAV in Taurus is eminently posited to bestow its signification as Karaka for male progeny during its Partyantar Dashas.

g) Indira gave birth two sons, during above periods, Rajive on 20.8.44 and Sanjay on 14.12.46. Incidentally in 5H and as 12L in 5H also indicate loss of progeny. Her second son Sanjay died in plane crash on 30.6.80. The aspect of on 5H also indicate progeny loss in brutal accident.

a) Possible D/AD during the period are AD of in Dasha of Rahu and AD of in ‘s Dasha. ‘s AD of 7L is most probable. The period of Saturn AD in Dasha of Rahu was from 18 Dec, 1941 to 24 Oct, 44. Both the planets are marriage-giving planets. Indira actually married Firoz – a person outside her religion on 29.3.42. Dasha scheme operative at that time was.

2 Transit and Marriage:

D1 Chart (Marriage date 29.3.42 transit in grey):

a) On the day of marriage & was transiting Taurus and had aspect over one of the pair (in Natal):

i) aspected LL and 7H

ii) aspected Lag. And 7L

iii) common period as period of marriage.

b) from previous house aspected Lagna and 5L showing marriage in coming year.

c) in transit aspected from Aries over one of the pairs Lagna and 7L – Marriage within 45 days when it was in Taurus..

d) ‘s longitude during transit was 22:28 very close to ‘s natal degree 21:00 near to natal ‘s long. – marriage time.

i) Transit of was in Capricorn over LL & 7H confirming marriage.

e) Transit of & over. (Alternate method):

i) transiting is in Taurus 5/9^th from 7^th in Rashi and Navamsha.

ii) is related in transit with 5Hl 5L and within year from Aries did the same.

f) Transit of:

i) transited Pisces 5/9 to natal representing 2L – family.

g) Transit of:

i) transited Cancer – direct connection to Lag/7H and LL/7H and trine to natal karaka for husband.

h) Thus multiple transit factors favouring marriage actually resulted in its fructification on 29 Mar 1942.

i) Similarly Transit – Mathematical methods can be tested.

3 Marriage and Ashtakavarga:

a) ‘s transit over 5/9 from natal or having 5 or more bindus in ‘s AV: In natal chart is in 7H in Capricorn sign, which has 5 bindus in ‘s BAV. Was transiting trine to Capricorn in Taurus giving fructification of marriage.

b) ‘s transit over remainder (Nakshatra or sign or trines there from) of:

i) (Shodhya Pinda of) x (Bindu in 7^th from in ‘s BAV) / 27 or 12.

(SP of 134 x 2 Bindu in 7^th from) = 268 268/27 gives R=25 i.e. trine of ‘s nakshatra – U. Bhadra, Vishakha and Punarvasu. Similarly, 268/12 give R=4 indicating Cancer or its trine as D/AD lords. This rule is not fitting the case as 5 was transiting Rohibi at the time of marriage.

V Progeny Analysis:

1 Progeny Promise – Progeny parameters and their status in the horoscope:

a) 5H is in Scorpio with, 2L indicating family and a Great Friend in the horoscope with natural benefic aspected by and –two male planets – being 5L and Karaka for progeny

II. Confusion in software:

Different software adopts different rules. Some planet they follow one and other planet different rule. The one explained is most accepted and concurs with FP.

Case Study: Transit and Ashatakvarga

I Name: Indira Gandhi

II General: In this case events from the life of Indira Gandhi are considered with respect to applicability of the principles of Transit and Ashtakavarga. The detailed horoscopes with Divisional Chart, D/AD, Prashtarakvarga are enclosed with the paper. The following events are being considered:

1 Marriage and loss of husband.

2 Progeny – birth and loss

3 Political success and failures

III All transits and Ashtakvargas are subservient to the static promise in Natal & sequence of Dasha/AD. These must be examined first before transit analysis. A brief study of the horoscope regarding promise on above followed by confirmation by Transit and Ashtakavarga principles.

IV Marriage and loss of husband:

1 Marriage Promise – Marriage Parameters and their status in the horoscope:

a) 7H is with Moon, the LL and there is exchange of LL and 7L showing mutual love and attachment. It also indicate love marriage. This is aspected by Jupiter 9L from 11H with 32 SAV and itself having 6 bindus in its BAV. ‘s aspect on its OH shows good conjugal relations and marital life.

b) 7L is in lagna without any malefic association showing attachment and attraction of the spouse for her.

c) Karaka for 7H, with four bindu in its BAV in Sagittarius is with Rahu with 23 SAV bindu in 6H shows inter-religion marriage and don’t indicate long-term marital happiness and possibility of abrupt ending is indicated.

d) the karaka for husband is 9L/6L in 11H with 32 SAV and itself having 6 bindus in Taurus. It is retrograde showing spouse from different religion.

e) All above indicate a Timely Marriage between 21-28 years of age.
