Discussion on the properties listed above: Ordinarily Mars is dry, hot and destructive. Children face its heat right from when they are in their mother’s womb. They suffer from measles, boils, ulcers, dehydrations, rapid loss of milk teeth etc. Hence, it can be considered in a horoscope the person suffers from these ailments very quickly and if it is weak, the person does not suffer much. It does not matter whether Mars is in the ascendant or not. Therefore, what Garg has said in this regard is irrelevant. Headaches and blood disorders appear to manifest in Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. In Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, it is a little less while in other signs these disorders do not appear at all. The same logic should be applied to what Kashinath has said. What he has said is applicable only to masculine signs. Narayanabhatt has mentioned rejection by women this is applicable only to signs other than Cancer, Leo and Pisces. In Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, there are hurdles even contention that the person is as dignified as a lion is applicable on in Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Cancer and Scorpio. Punjaraj’s description is only applicable to masculine signs. Ramadayal’s statement about being unreligious and developmental applies to Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. What Mahesh has said is right for Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Mantreshwara is right about the effects of Mars in a masculine sign with the Sun and the Moon. Brihadyavanajaatak is right about the person being intelligent but this is seen only in Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. There is a tendency to be debauched, overly lusty and to have a mistress. What Jaageshwar has said, is again seen mostly in Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius and to some extent in Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Absolutely no possibility in other signs. Baidhyanath and Gunakar’s statements hold true only for masculine signs as is Aryagranth’s statement about childhood illnesses and dental problems. The rest of his description, however, is true for feminine signs. Kalyanavarma’s description is for feminine signs while Jayadeva’s description is right for all. Gholap’s statement that the person is evil and thoughtless is trues for Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. The statement that he is arrogant and suffers from blood disorders is for Aries, Leo and Sagittarius while the statement about gall bladder infections and jaundice is correct for Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Gopal Ratnakar’s statement that the person is reddish-gold complexioned, has a burly physique, are applicable in the cases of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius while the statement about the ruler’s patronage holds true for Aries, Cancer, Leo and Pisces. Hillajaatak’s statement is something I leave for those more learned than me. My opinion is that these are only seen at the age of eight. What Yavanmath has said about fighting with friends and foes alike and lack of wife or children is true for Aries, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. The descriptions that he is evil, argumentative and dehydrated apply only to feminine signs. The most apt description is the one given by Western Thought.
