Mercury Conjunct Venus
If Mercury has conjunct Venus, the person lives a life of refinement and culture. He is delicate, sensitive, and mentally blessed. He is bright and cheerful, optimistic and humorous. Above all other astrological aspects, this conjunction indicates musical and poetic talent. The person is expressive and his greatest fulfillment comes from sharing his wonderful mental harmony with others. He is eloquent, intelligent, and often brilliant. There is a marked dexterity to the person’s intellect. His mind is in a state of restful alertness, ever ready to feel out, or objectively analyze, a situation. Once he does this, he is then able to generate the most precise and appropriate response. Like Paul Newman and Robert De Niro, who have the conjunction within two or three degrees, the person can charm anyone. He knows which words cause what effects in whom.
The person is drawn to all of the arts. He is graceful, agreeable, and lighthearted. However, he is also a creature of comfort. He craves luxuries and the good life. Unless Saturn is strong in the birth chart, the person has no patience for discipline and responsibility. He detests hard work, struggle, and dirty hands. He may be lazy, shallow, and indulgent. If Mercury is conjunct Mars, the person is mentally aggressive. He is direct, outspoken and enjoys a good argument. The person is talented in mechanics and has great manual dexterity. He is attracted to all technical fields such as architecture, engineering, drafting etc. He is the best trouble-shooter and problem-solver. The person is competitive and nothing but goal-oriented. He is successful, and does whatever it takes to obtain desired results. The person is ingenious and easily solves puzzles. He is perfectionist and a great detail worker. His mind is sharp and alert: he learns at lightning speed. There is a magnificent practicality to the person. He understands cause and effect better than anyone, and may be a genius at manipulating circumstances to get what he wants.
The Mars-Mercury conjunction is a fascinating one. Aggressive Mars benefits greatly from association with intellectual and sensitive Mercury, while Mercury is burnt by they fiery nature of Mars. The person’s peace of mind is definitely disturbed. He may have a hot temper or be on the angry side.
