Aryagranthakar: Tanayamandirage shashinandane sutakalatrayuktaha sukhabhaajanam. Vikachampakachachaarumukhaha sukhi suragurdwijabhaktiyuktaha shuchihi. His wife bears many sons. Gholap: He is worshipped by all. He is pure, noble, good looking and has prestige. If Mercury is in Capricorn or Aquarius, the person will have daughters even if there is no malefic influence.
Gopal Ratnakar: The person’s maternal uncle dies soon. His father suffers but his mother prospers. He has several diseases and ailments. He is honoured by the king. He is interested in clothes and has an extensive wardrobe. He is learned, popular and extroverted.
Hillajaatak: Shadavimsho maatrihaa panchamo budhaha. At the age of 26 the person’s mother dies.
Jaatakaratna: Vidhyou vivaahato nnashtaha. The person dies as soon as his son gets married.
Agyaath: Saumye swakshetragate panchamaputra bhaagbhavati. Simhasthite pi chaivam navame vaa tritiyabhaaryaam. Himasuto garbhahaani karoti bhaavaadhipe paapayute balaheene putranaashaha. Aputraha dataputrapraatihi, paapakarmi. If Mercury is in its own house, the person has sons, even if Mercury is in Leo, in the Third House or in the Seventh House. If the planet ruling the Fifth House is weak or in combination with a malefic planet the person’s sons get destroyed and his wife if pregnant can miscarry the child. He ends up having to adopt a son because he cannot naturally beget any. He carries out many evil and cruel acts in his frustration over this.
Yavanmath: The person gets wealth and has children. He is brave, happy, and works hard. He gets prestige early in life and this remains with him consistently.
Paaschaatya Math (Western Thought): The person has children, glory and learning. He has a leaning towards gambling, lotteries, valour and peaceful activities. If Mercury is in a sign when that sun sigh is in its destructive phase then the person’s entire clan is destroyed. In Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, the person’s entire clan is destroyed. In Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, the person’s children go mad. If Mercury in this place is in conjunction with Saturn or Mars or both, then the possibility of children going mad is averted. If Jupiter or Saturn or both cast an auspicious influence over Mercury in this place, the person is lucky when gambling. If Mercury is benefited by an auspicious Moon, the person gets general benefits. However, this combine brings with it an argumentative nature.
