Rudrakshas have four
colours. White, red, yellow and blue. It is so said in the old srutis that:
The white coloured one can be used when the Moon, Jupiter and Venus are
afflicted in a birth chart so as to remove their malefic effects.
Red
coloured are beneficial for Sun, Mars and Ketu.
The
yellow coloured Rudrkashas are the safest for propitiating
Mercury and Jupiter.
Blue
coloured ones are used for Saturn and Rahu.
Rudraksh up to Nine faced
are akin to the properties of Nine planets. But from Ten faced to Twenty one
faced Rudrakshas are representative of higher heavenly powers which transcends
the planetary kingdom. These Rudrakshas control the heavens and the basic
instincts of man. It is hot by nature and controls the thermo-dynamics and
electromagnetic vibration around the human body. It is best used for Tantras
for checking evils, cleansing the soul and realising divinity.
Gauri
Shanker Rudraksh
It is a rare one in which
two Rudrakshas are joined together. It is attributed to lord Shiva and Parvati.
When three rudrakshas are found, it is called, `Gauri Shankar Parvati”. It
makes the husband and wife identity each other, as one’s shadow. These are to
be worn around the neck or are kept in the temple or on the person. These
bestow on the user good luck, wealth, intelligence, spiritual,’ power and all
