Preface
The zodiac signs have
evinced great interest. We watch the television and read the print media to
find out what is predicted for our Sun/Ascendant Sign.
There are twelve Zodiac
Signs starting with Aries and ending at Pisces. These signs have logic and have
been explained briefly in this book. Also during my astrological study and
advice for over three decades now, I found people wanting to know more about
their nature.
Your zodiac sign broadly
tells you of your intrinsic nature. It may vary from individual to individual.
Our acts and deeds are directly related to our nature and this applies to every
aspect of our life. Not only the actions but the manner in which an individual
approaches a problem is also a reflection of his traits. The chain leading us
to act has our inert nature as an important link. This, I believe, is reflected
through our Ascendant/Sun Sign. The traits re refined due to environment,
circumstances and other factors about which I shall not dwell in details.
The Zodiac Sign of yours
is a fairly good indicator of your personality and your instincts irrespective
of your strata and position. This book compiled by me deals with the Zodiac
signs in details and also attempts to look into aspects of relationships, love,
compatibility with other signs, financial and professional implication. It also
covers aspects of favorable color, direction and other such issues of interest
along with simple solutions applicable for each sign.
The over a dozen other
books that I have written on various planets and systems are technical in
nature and this is the first book which can be read and understood by all and I
am sure one would find it useful, with a view to give broad trends that can
potentially happen with respect to each Zodiac Sign I have given predictions
for twelve (12) years based on the transit of the major outer planets. This
will provide each reader the sensitive points or areas of concern for practical
purpose in the years discussed. The exact happenings might differ but broadly
it will guide you to act wisely and tackle stress points.
The motivation to write a
book on the Zodiac signs came from Vrinda, my daughter, who is a seventh class
student. She wanted the yearly predictions which I had done for last year. The
request she got was from an excellent cross section. I decided to then write on
the Zodiac Signs, other associated generic aspects and trends for the next
twelve years for each sign. Love and thanks to Vrinda.
My gratitude and thanks to
my mother, Dr Krishna Saksena who herself is an author in English Literature
and a great devotee of Ma Durga. Her divine visions and inputs have been
incorporated in this book.
My wife, in spite of all
kinds of resources required, has motivated me to continue working in this field
as she calls it as my greatest stress buster for motivation and supports me.
This year also happens to be our 25th anniversary year and this book
is a way of saying Thank You to her for all the support and motivation.
Narender Sagar has been a
great inspiration to me and he spends hours in planning and ensuring the best.
My special thanks to him. I would also like to acknowledge the contribution of
Col (Er.) Dee Baswani (Retd.) and Pawan Ballabh in editing and guidance. Also
thanks to my sister Tanya Gupta who is doing research at Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan
for her critical inputs.
I dedicate this book to my
father Late Kailash Chandra Saksena for whom astrology was like a religion and
he pursued it passionately despite being a senior bureaucrat.
I will use the next few
months in developing a compilation, from all classics, for various streams of
astrology, and present them with views in a structured format for the readers
of this science. Narender Sagar has agreed to take up the project and this was
my fathers’ wish. I visited Narenderji with him in the early seventies and
listened them talk.
I would like to end this
with the thought of Vrindawan and Shri Banke Behari whose blessings have been
with me and always look upon him in all my endeavors.
